The lady who, to many Americans, will forever be referred to as “The Doritos Girl”, Ali Landry is a model, a beauty pageant queen, a dancer and an actress.

Early Accomplishments

Captained her cheerleading team in high school, she competed and won the Miss Louisiana Teen USA title in 1990 and came 7th in the Miss Teen USA pageant that year.

She left University of Southwestern Louisiana in 1996 and was named 1996 Miss Louisiana USA, 1996 Miss USA and made it to the final round of 1996 Miss Universe.

Best Known For

Named in various magazines such as FHM, Stuff Magazine and Askmen.com as one of the sexiest and most beautiful women severally, she is fondly remembered for modelling for Doritos chips during Super Bowl games from 1998 to 2000.

She also hosted Spy TV in 2000 and starred in sitcom, Eve in 2006.

Ali is straight. She met Mario Lopez in 1998 and got engaged in 2003. Their 2004 wedding was annulled only 2 weeks later after due to Mario’s infidelity. 

She met filmmaker Alejandro Monteverde in 2005 and because of her past experience, they practiced abstinence until their marriage in 2006.

Born to Gene and Renella Landry, she has a brother, Ty and a sister, Gena. 

She mothers 3 children with Alejandro; Estela, born in 2007, Marcelo, born in 2011, Valentin, born in 2013.

Religion

Ali was raised Catholic and still adhered devoutly to her faith. She turned to her Bible pages to cope with her first marital heartbreak and met Alejandro during Bible study classes. She and her husband also met Pope Francis when she was pregnant with Valentin.
