He competed in football, basketball and even efficiently at long jump while in high school but football earned him a 4-star recruit status by various sport media outlets.
For 4 years, he played collegiate at the University of Oklahoma where he had 26 TDs and 3,482 yards from 233 receptions. He was drafted by the NY Giants in 2016 as the 40th pick.

In 2016, he was voted into the PFWA All-Rookie Team as he hit the ground running with the Giants immediately. He has had a total of 14 TDs and 2,282 yards from 190 receptions as at Week 16 of 2018.
