She won an arts scholarship at 10 years and spent her teenage years modelling and appearing in several music videos.
At 18, she played Nala in a West End production of The Lion King and at 19, auditioned for Popstars: The Rivals but very narrowly missed out on a spot on girl group, Girls Aloud.
Best Known For
Surrender, her debut album in 2004, contained 4 Top 20 hits which includes Surrender (Your Love), Real Things and Best Of My Love.
She however hit fame and stardom when she overwhelmingly beat favorite, Katie Price to represent UK at the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest, giving an electric performance of Touch My Fire.
