Early Accomplishments

Encouraged by her parents to sing, she began a career in singing as early as age 12 and caught the interest of Detroit music bigwigs such as Helluvah, Ed K and Big Mike who all began to mentor her.

She released a debut EP in 2003 titled Get Away when she was just 16 and this got the attention of Jay-Z, who signed her up onto Def Jam Records immediately.

She is known for songs such as Make Her Feel Good and No Daddy from her debut studio album in 2003.

Her acting career has seen her star in films like Lottery Ticket in 2010, Mac & Devin Go To High School in 2012 and The Dempsey Sisters in 2013. 

She also stars in a main role on Love & Hip-Hop: Hollywood (2014 – date) after a smaller role on season 2 of Love & Hip-Hop: New York.
