Adele Laurie Adkins MBE is probably the most awarded and bestselling artist of our time, indeed an exceptional chanteuse. 

Early Accomplishments

She started singing right from an early age and soon became obsessed with voices, listening to Ella Fitzgerald and Etta James songs when she was 14.

She attended a performing arts school and upon graduation, her 3-song demo tape attracted interest of XL Recording. She released her first album, 19 in 2008.

Best Known For

With records sales of over 100 million copies, she will forever be famed for global smash hits such as Set Fire to the Rain, Someone Like You and Rolling in the Deep all in her 21 album and most especially for Hello in 2015. 

She also won a Grammy, Golden Globe, Academy and Brit awards for Skyfall, her 2012 song for the 007 film of the same title.  

Sexual Orientation

Adele is straight and she has been married to Simon Konecki since December 2016. They met and began dating in 2011 before getting married discreetly. 

She is also rumored to have briefly dated Slinky Sunbeam in March 2008. 

Family

She is the daughter of Mark Evans and Penny Adkins and has a maternal half-brother named Cameron O’Sullivan. 

She and Simon became parents in late 2012 to a boy named Angelo.

Religion

She was raised as a Catholic but in interview with rollingstone.com she said that she is not religious.

Since 2012, Adele has won all of the 11 Grammy awards she has been nominated for.

She was classmates with Jessie J and Leona Lewis at the BRIT School for Performing Arts & Technology.

She was conferred her MBE (Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) in 2013.
