Mario Barrett, popularly known as Mario is one of the most gifted singer, actor, music producer and model who rose to prominence for a decade at the turn of the millennium.
Early Accomplishments
Since age 4, Mario aspired to be a singer. While in middle school, he joined a music trio group and learnt to play the piano before age 11. He was discovered by Troy Patterson at a talent show.
He got signed on to Clive J Records at just age 14 and he immediately got the offer to provide soundtrack for Dr. Dolittle 2 in 2001 and began recording an album soon after.
Best Known For
Mario gained a reputation as an R&B superstar with songs such as Let Me Love You in 2004, Just a Friend in 2002, How Do I Breathe in 2007 and Break Up in 2009.
Without any prior acting lessons, Mario has starred in Step Up in 2006 and Freedom Writers in 2007.
He currently plays Devon in the famed TV series, Empire.
