Alanis Morissette

A singer, songwriter, music producer, multi-instrumentalist, Alanis Morissette is among the biggest female Canadian songstress of all time. 

Early Accomplishments

Her passion for music kicked off very early. She started playing the piano when she was 6 and also began dancing by age 7. 

She delivered her first song Fate Stay With Me when she was 12.

Her first album was eponymous and she was 16 when it was released. 

By age 19, she dropped Now Is The Time, her second album. 

Best Known For

With her signature soprano voice, she has sold over 75 million of her 8 studio records globally, including her very successful debut, Jagged Little Pill. 

She is famous for songs such as Ironic and You Oughta Know.

Sexual Orientation

Alanis is straight and has been married to Mario Treadway a.k.a Souleye since 2010. 

Before then, she dated Ryan Reynolds in 2002 and they got engaged in 2004 but ending it in 2007. 

Other men she had dated include Dave Coulier and Tom Ballanco.

Family

Alanis, her twin brother Wade and elder brother Chad are children of Alan and Georgia Morissette. 

With her husband, she is the mother of 3 kids: son Ever, born in 2010, daughter Onyx, born in 2016 and son Winter, born in 2019.

Religion

Alanis was raised as a Catholic but her religiosity diminished as he grew older. She tends towards Buddhism these days.
