Leslie Jones

Annette Leslie Jones is a famed comedienne, writer and actress recognized as a member of the Saturday Night Live cast.

Early Accomplishments

Leslie played basketball while in high school so well that she was admitted to college on a sport scholarship. She worked as a radio DJ while in college but began comedy after she was signed up for a campus stand-up competition by a friend, which she won. 

She left school and worked at an eatery and performed at clubhouses to afford a life.

Best Known For

Her most noteworthy works are undoubtedly in Ghostbusters in 2016 and on Saturday Night Live since 2014, for which she earned Emmy Award nominations for in 2017 & ’18.

She often jokes about her childhood and dating experiences. She had her stand-up feature show, Problem Child broadcasted on Showtime in 2010.

Leslie is straight and has often spoken comically of her past relationships. In a 2017, she admitted she was in a secret relationship with an unnamed man, but according to her Twitter post in August, 2018, she lamented on her single life. She is rumored to have secretly dated Kyle Mooney in 2016 and also Colin Jost.

Family

She is born to a father who served in the US Army and later worked as an engineer at a radio station. She also had an older brother, Rodney who died in 2009, aged 38.
