Rose McGowan

Born in Italy, Rose Arianna McGowan is an American actress, director, and a human rights activist. 

Early Accomplishments

Rose has started her career as a child model in Italy.

At the age of fifteen Rose officially emancipated herself from her parents and started living independently.

After her debut episodic role in Encino Man, Rose landed a lead role in 1995’s film The Doom Generation. 

Best Known For

Rose’s most known work is iconic horror movie Scream, that came out in 1996. 

In 2014 she released her first movie Dawn, that she worked on is a director.

Rose was the first person to draw sexual assault accusations on Harvey Weinstein, starting the #MeToo movement.

Rose is straight. She had been married to Davey Detail from 2013 till 2016. Marilyn Manson was her boyfriend for 2 years.

Family

Rose is daughter to Terry and Daniel McGowan. 

She has total of six siblings, two sisters, two brothers, and two half-sisters, all of them are outside of the spotlight.

Religion 

Rose’s parents were part of a religious cult, which they escaped when she was nine; now she doesn’t identify with any religion.

Rose prefers wine over beer. Her favorite sort is, ironically, Rosé.

Favorite dish of Rose’s is pasta. She says she can cook it every day and never get tired of it.

Although Rose experiments with her hair color a lot, her favorite look is long dark hair.
