Dweezil Zappa

Second oldest son of legendary musician, Dweezil Zappa is a songwriter and a musician as well.

Early Accomplishments

Dweezil had his first stage appearance at age of 12, alongside his father's band. Later that year he released his first song, titled My Mother Is A Space Cadet.

Best Known For 

Dweezil has made a name for himself as a musician, having albums under his name such as Havin’ A Bad Day, My Guitar Wants To Kill Your Mama, Confessions, and many more. 

He performs on tours, playing his own music and his father's as well, continuing Frank Zappa's legacy. 

In 2016 he was the first to start the family feud that didn't stop until two years later. 

Dweezil wasn't allowed to use the name Zappa Plays Zappa for his tour due to trademark issues, and since he and his older sister Moon have less percent of their family trust fund, he needed their younger brother and sister's permission to do so. They continued to fight over this issue until they finally resolved it in 2018.

Dweezil has created his own online course, named DWEEZOLOGY, that teaches its students how to play guitar.

Dweezil is straight and happily married. 

Family

Son to Gail and Frank Zappa and brother to Moon Unit, Ahmet and Diva Zappa, Dweezil is raising two daughters, Zola Frank and Ceylon Indira with his wife Megan.

Since Dweezil himself haven’t made an official statement about his religion, it is unknown.

Worth To Know

Dweezil took music lessons from one of his father's bandmates Steve Vai. Steve gave him a notebook, filled with exercises which Dweezil performed daily for a number of hours.

He appeared in a number of films and TV-shows, such as The Running Man, Pretty In Pink, Normal Life, On The Spot etc.
