Steven Spielberg is Hollywood greatness personified. He is the record highest grossing, most influential filmmaker in history and received the most critical praises for his great work.

Early Accomplishments

Right from a tender age, Steven had always been fascinated with making films. When he was 12 years old as a Boy Scout, he was awarded a merit badge for a short film, The Last Gunfight and also for Escape to Nowhere when he was 13 years.

He shot his debut full feature movie, Firelight when he was 17 and while he was at Universal Studios as an intern, he made a short film, Amblin in 1968.

Best Known For

Steven’s works are too great to mention but to scratch the surface, he is the man behind E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial in 1982, Jaws in 1975, Ready Player One in 2018, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Pack, Transformers, Men in Black and Back to the Future films.

He is the co-owner of Amblin Entertainment and DreamWorks Studios.

Steven is straight. From 1985 to 1989, he was married to Amy Irving and birthed a child. 

He met his current wife, Kate Capshaw on set of Indiana Jones in 1988 and they tied the knots three years later, birthing 3 children and adopting another 2.

Family

He is born to Arnold Spielberg and Leah Adler and he has 3 sisters who are Anne, Nancy and Sue. 

He is the father of Max (with his ex-wife), Destry, Mikaela, Sasha, Sawyer and Theo as well as Jessica Capshaw (with his current wife). 

Gwyneth Paltrow and Drew Barrymore are his goddaughters.

Religion 

He was raised as an Orthodox Jew and still practices Judaism now.
