Ashley Judd

Ashley Judd, a well-known resourceful actress, political activist and enthusiastic humanitarian, has made her mark in Hollywood and an impression on the American people.

Early Accomplishments

She studied French and minored in theatre, anthropology and women studies at the university and spent half a year in France as part of her curriculum.

She went to Hollywood after school and became a hostess at a popular fancy restaurant while studied acting at Playhouse West. 

Her breakthrough came in 1993 through Ruby In Paradise.

Best Known For

She is most famed for her work in thriller series Missing in 2012 with exciting outings in Trafficked in 2017, Kiss the Girls in 1997, Double Jeopardy in 1999, High Crimes in 2002 and the Divergent trilogy.

She is an emissary for YouthAIDS and a UNFPA Goodwill Ambassador.

Ashley is straight and until 2013, she was married to Dario Franchitti for 11,5 years after the two got together in 1998. 

Before then, she has dated men such as Michael Bolton, Matthew McConaughey and a rumored hookup with Robert De Niro in 1995.

Family

She is the product of the 4-year marriage of Michael C. Ciminella and actress, singer Naomi Judd. 

She has Wynonna Judd as a half-sister, hence she is an aunt to Elijah and Grace Judd. 

Her maternal grandparents are Charles and Pauline Judd.

Religion 

Ashley is a devout Baptist but recently, her study of Eckhart Tolle (a New Age guru) teachings has led to a belief that she is more pantheist.

Her 2017 account of Harvey Weinstein’s sexual misconducts towards her led to his conviction.
