Shannon Brown is an American pro basketballer from Illinois, USA who has 2 NBA titles to his name.

Early Accomplishments

He was elected as the best basketball player in his high school in Maywood in 2003 and was regarded as the best shooting guard and third best player in the country for recruitment into collegiate basketball.

He was chosen by Michigan State where he excelled in 3 seasons of college basketball before becoming drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers as the 25th pick for 2006 NBA draft.

Best Known For

He had his most brilliant season in 2011 for Phoenix Suns after winning back to back NBA championships with LA Lakers in 2009 and 2010. 

In 2014, he had short stints for the San Antonio Spurs, NY Knicks and the Miami Heat. 

He presently plays in the G-League with the Delaware Blue Coats.

Shannon is straight and has been married to R&B singer Monica since 2010 in a quiet home ceremony after they got engaged a few months before. 

The lovebirds met when Shannon featured in her video for Love All Over Me in 2010 and they just fell in love right after. They had a more elaborate wedding in July 2011.

He is the son of Chris and Sandra Brown and he has a brother, Sterling who also plays in the NBA. 

He is the father of 2 children who are Shannon Christopher and Laiyah Brown.
