At age four, she had started performing at theatres and studied at American Conservatory Theatre as a teenager. 

She received her tertiary education at the acting school of University of California at Los Angeles, graduating in 2008. 

She landed a first Hollywood movie role in in 2009 on American Pie Presents: The Book of Love.

Until 2017, she and Kat Dennings entertained viewers with popular comedy TV series 2 Broke Girls for 6 years. 

She also played a famed role in 2013’s animated movie Monsters University as well as another comic character in Hello, My Name Is Doris in 2015.
