Born as Cedric Renard Hailey, American singer and songwriter K-Ci is one half of R&B prodigy duo K-Ci & JoJo and a quarter of the music group sensation of the 90s, Jodeci.
Early Accomplishments
Being born to actively singing parents, K-Ci, his brother and dad had 3 gospel albums recorded and released between 1983 and 1985 under the name Little Cedric and the Hailey Singers.
While the first album was a flop, the other two were huge successes peaking on Billboard at No 4 and 22 respectively.
Best Known For
He and his brother also joined the DeGrate brothers and formed ace group Jodeci and with him as lead vocal, went on to release 3 albums between 1991 and 1995, selling over 6 million copies.
K-Ci & JoJo then became a dynamic duo selling 5 million copies of their 5 albums.
K-Ci also did a cover of If You Think You’re Lonely in 1994 which was widely revered.

K-Ci is straight. He was in a highly publicized relationship with R&B diva Mary J. Blige for about 5 years around the mid-90s.
In 2004, he met and started dating Cassandra (known as Sandy Hailey) and 4 years later, he tied the knots with her.
