Joseph's career was officially launched in 1988 through a role in the western television film Stranger on My Land. 

By 1992, he branched into the movie industry playing a minor role in the comedy film Beethoven. 

Best Known For

Throughout the course of his career, he has attained much recognition for impeccably portraying the Tom character in 500 Days of Summer. This role earned him a Golden Globe nomination. 

By 2010, he became a movie director after working on the short film Morgan M. Morgansen's Date with Destiny.
