M. Pokora

M. Pokora is a very talented French singer usually referred to by his stage name instead of his birth name Matthieu Tota. 

Early Accomplishments

Pokora's career kicked off in 2003 as he became a member of the boy band, Linkup. Through this band, he released the album titled Notre étoile which became a success as it topped the charts in France. 

The following year, he decided to go solo with the release of the album M. Pokora. 

Best Known For

Throughout the course of his career so far, no music has given him much recognition like his 6th album, R.E.D, released in 2015. 

R.E.D eventually topped the charts both in France and Belgium.  

Sexual Orientation

Pokora is straight. Since 2017, he has been in a relationship with the award-winning American singer Christina Milian. 

Prior to this, he had been romantically involved with the French dancer Alexandra Trovato as well as the Algerian actress Sofia Boutella. 

Family

The retired professional footballer André Tota is his father. Through his dad, he grew to love the sport and even had goals of becoming a footballer in future. 

Religion

Pokora has chosen to maintain his privacy in this aspect of his life; therefore, it is difficult to determine what religious belief he fixes his faith in. But still in interview he said "I am a believer and a practitioner, I sometimes go to church and pray...".

The professional footballer Djibril Cissé is his very close friend.
His stage name Pokora was coined out from the word humility in Polish.
In 2011, he leaned a bit towards acting as he portrayed the voice of Duncan Rosenblatt in the cartoon Firebreather.
He has Polish roots.
