Alexander Arkadi De Rakoff is a British filmmaker. He is a known film and music video writer, producer and director.

Early Accomplishments

He was born and raised in London and when he was 25, started out by shooting music videos. With a budget of £1,000, he shot the smash hit video The Bomb! (These Sounds Fall into My Mind) by The Bucketheads in 1995.

Best Known For

Alex wrote and directed The Calcium Kid in 2004 and Dead Man Running in 2007. He wrote the 2017 movie Snatch and adapted it for TV, producing and directing all its episodes.

He is the director of music videos Sand in My Shoes by Dido and Since You Been Gone by Kelly Clarkson

In 2011, he wrote and directed the video shorts for video game Need for Speed: Run.
